A

Access Token : A credential used with your username to authenticate with CIQ Depot. Each organization has one active token. Found at portal.ciq.com/token.

Admin : An organization role with full management capabilities: members, invites, licenses, access tokens, event logs, and settings.

C

Catalog : The product discovery page in CIQ Portal where you can browse products, start trials, and purchase access. Accessible at portal.ciq.com/catalog.

CIQ Depot : CIQ's content delivery platform for distributing software. You access Depot content through the Depot Client CLI tool, or via direct methods like curl, rsync, and container tools. See the Depot documentation.

Classic View : An alternative display mode in My Products that shows a flat list of individual repositories instead of the default product grouping.

D

Depot Client : A command-line tool (depot) installed on your systems to automate repository configuration and updates. Requires root access. See the Depot Client documentation.

DNF : The package manager used in RHEL, Rocky Linux, and other RPM-based distributions.

Event Log : An audit trail of organization activity available to admins at Manage > Event Log. Records authentication, licensing, organization, security, support, and system events.

M

Master Service Agreement (MSA) : The legal agreement that governs use of CIQ products and services. Must be accepted during self-service product activation.

My Account : The personal account every Portal user has, shown in the organization switcher. Provides access to non-commercial and free CIQ software.

O

Open Container Initiative (OCI) : A standard format for container images. CIQ distributes some products as OCI container images.

Organization : A group in CIQ Portal that determines what software and services users can access. There are two types: personal (My Account) and shared (for commercial customers).

Organization Switcher : The UI element in the Portal sidebar for switching between organizations. Shows your role as a badge next to each organization name.

Repository : A collection of software packages or files organized for distribution.

Reposync : A utility for mirroring repositories using DNF/YUM. See the Reposync guide.

Rsync : A file synchronization tool for mirroring repositories. See the Rsync guide.

S

Shared Organization : An organization created for CIQ customers to access commercial software. Supports multiple users with different roles (Admin, User, Support Only).

Single Sign-On (SSO) : Authentication method allowing login with existing GitHub or Google credentials.

Support Only : An organization role that provides access only to the support portal for the organization.

U

User : An organization role that provides access to the organization's products, access token, and support portal.
