CIQ Bridge

CIQ Bridge

CIQ Bridge extends the operational life of CentOS 7 beyond its 2024 end of life (EOL). When CentOS 7 reached EOL, upstream stopped publishing security fixes, leaving deployments exposed to unremediated vulnerabilities. CIQ Bridge replaces the retired CentOS repositories with a CIQ-maintained repository that continues to deliver CVE remediation for CentOS 7.9 systems.

CIQ Bridge is designed as a stepping stone: it keeps your existing CentOS 7 fleet secure while you plan and execute a migration to a currently supported operating system such as Rocky Linux from CIQ.

What CIQ Bridge provides

  • Ongoing CVE remediation. CIQ backports and delivers fixes for Critical and Important/High severity CVEs across a curated set of priority packages for CentOS 7.9.
  • Signed content. Packages and published errata are cryptographically signed for trust verification.
  • Errata feeds. CSAF security advisories, VEX files, and updateinfo.xml so yum and vulnerability scanners see accurate remediation status. See Security and errata.
Info

CIQ Bridge is a security-remediation offering, not a general support or feature-maintenance program for CentOS 7. It covers Critical and Important/High severity CVEs on a curated set of priority packages. For the packages and CVE scope that apply to your deployment, contact CIQ Support.
